Living with cancer is difficult, and we know it's the little things that make a big difference to patients.

We talked with patients and their families to learn about what matters most to them and we incorporated their ideas into this truly patient-centered cancer center.

Although they won't make your cancer disappear any faster, we hope the special features and conveniences like those listed below will help make your visit to Hall-Perrine Cancer Center a little easier.

  • TomoTherapy treats hard-to-reach tumors near healthy tissues and organs.

  • Trilogy® Linear Accelerator offers higher doses of radiation in shorter time, while minimizing damage to surrounding normal tissues and organs.

  • Find delightful items, magazines and other goodies in our gift shop.

  • Fitness coordinator works with patients during and after treatment.

  • Grab a coffee, sandwich or snack in our café - or stay and enjoy the beautiful view of the garden.

  • Our Resource Center offers educational literature, books, videos and other resources to patients and their caregivers.

Outdoor Features

Aesthetically soothing natural spaces include a healing garden with meditation space, a water feature, benches and more. This is one of the largest green spaces in downtown Cedar Rapids, second only to Greene Square Park.

First Floor

Common public areas: This floor features public spaces, including a cancer resource library, coffee shop, meditation space and more. Also on the first floor are a wide range of cancer care services, including integrated therapies, ReNew image recovery center and Hall-Perrine Cancer Center's Multidisciplinary Clinics. Watch short video tours of the first floor lobby, sitting area/fireplace and stained glass windows.

Second Floor

The Surgical Oncology Department of Hall-Perrine Cancer Center is located on the second floor. It offers the highest level of cancer care under the direction of the only fellowship-trained oncologic surgeon in Cedar Rapids, Dr. Vincent Reid.

Third Floor

Carefully designed with patient input, this area includes: Oncology Associates' medical oncologists; new private, family and community-centered chemotherapy infusion rooms; a retail pharmacy; lab; and space dedicated to research individual infusion stations with personal storage space, natural lighting features and a view of natural green space.
